program overview

The FC America Premier program is for young players who aspire to achieve excellence in their game. Our emphasis is player-centric with development the number one priority.

We focus on the technical, tactical, physical and psychological development of players on a pathway towards maximizing their full potential.

Since our founding in 1991, our guiding principle has always been "from grassroots to college recruits" as we seek to guide players from their first touches of the ball all the way to their college signing day. The majority of our coaching staff have played at a professional or collegiate level and know exactly what it takes to acquire a college scholarship and beyond.

The winning tradition that has been established over the past 20 years is based on each player improving significantly over the time they are with the club.

Our most famous alumni includes US MNT and Sporting Kansas City star Graham Zusi, and more recently Tommy Redding, who went on to make 38 MLS appearances for Orlando City.

practice & training

When players join the program, they are committing to a near year-round program, with breaks occurring over the winter holidays and for June and July during the summer.

Teams practice twice a week with their coaches.

Goalkeepers receive additional specialized GK training.

Practices are scheduled to be Monday and Wednesday, however this is subject to change based on field availability and post-tryout team formation.

The season begins in August and breaks after the fall the week before Thanksgiving (High School players will break when High School soccer commences).

Practice resumes in January (or once they have completed their High School soccer season for older players) and runs through until mid May.

Games & Tournaments

The FC America Premier Program provides near year-round training and games for competitive players.

Our teams will compete in a leagues based in Central Florida, including but not limited to:

Central Florida Premier League (CFPL), Florida Club Development League (FCL-D) and the Greater Central Florida Youth Soccer League (GCF) as well as local and state wide tournaments.

Our approach to selecting the most appropriate leagues for our teams is not based on brand names or whatever acronym is hottest.

We focus on the two key aspects which we believe are the most important for the children in our care and the families that trust us to do what is best for them:

1) Appropriate level of competition.

2) Minimal travel, thus giving families back more time for other activities other than being in a car for 6 hours+ a weekend.

We are lucky to live in a place that has an incredible depth of talent and number of children who play the beautiful game, and strongly believe that we should not need to venture far outside of Orlando to get a great game against good opposition.

While we do not rule out increased travel for certain teams or tournaments that we believe are necessary and beneficial to players and families, we will only do this when it is absolutely truly needed.

coaching staff

All teams will be trained and led by fully licensed professional soccer coaches. All of our coaches are background checked and receive ongoing professional development.

Our coaches are selected not just because of their knowledge of the game and coaching ability, but due to their leadership and mentorship skills for children.

location

All teams will practice and play their home games within the College Park/Winter Park/Maitland area. We currently practice at XL Soccer World Orlando on the Outdoor Fields.

Teams will be informed of their practice facility prior to the season commencing.
